Sugar
Adopted from the Sacramento SPCA in 2003, Sugar lives a confortable life here at Book Lovers. You can often find her sleeping in one of her beds, either under the front tables or back in the mystery section. Sugar is very friendly, but prefers it if you don't rub her belly; she has a temper and gets a tad upset. Sugar is currently partaking in a strict dieting program, so please don't feed her any snacks. We want her to live a long and healthy life here at Book Lovers.
R.I.P. SWEETIE
April 10, 2008, Sweetie quietly passed away in her bed under the front table. Sweetie leaves behind her beloved friend Sugar.
Sweetie will be missed by many who made weekly vistis to see her. Sweetie has had guest from all over the country, been written about in Reader's Ttoday magazine and has roamed the halls here at Book Lovers for over four years.
In 2003, Sweetie was adopted, along with Sugar, from the "fat cat" room from the SSPCA. An adoption that mandated that both Sugar and Sweetie be adopted together kept their tight bond intact for many years. Now Sugar motors on without her.
With a heavy heart, Sugar is still purring loudly and awaits your next visit.
Sweetie wall be laid to rest, April 10th 2008.
Sugar and sweetie were adopted together from the Sacramento SPCA. They were being held in the "fat cat room".
Some rumors had them being sisters, but they are not; in fact, they are one year apart. However; they had to be adopted together, as they suffered from separation anxiety.
No, they are not pregnant; they are just overweight. They both are currently experiencing the life of dieting, but when you visit them, you will notice how much more active they are. They both seem to be showing signs of weight loss already. So, please help us keep them on their diets and don't bring treats for them.
Book Lovers appreciates your cooperation.
